The Sirona Difference
The biodiesel business has lacked a source of continuously available high quality fuel at a reasonable price. It has also been criticized for making only modest contributions to the sustainability of meeting our energy needs. Sirona was formed to be a different kind of fuel company -- one that addresses both of these challenges and sets a new standard for climate- and community-friendly fuels. By focusing on stabilizing supply and increasing volumes Sirona can gain distinct and lasting advantages over its competition.
Our contributions to local communities currently focus on providing funding for schools through the Sirona Cares for Schools program. Under this program businesses and institutions can have us donate money to local schools when they recycle their cooking oil with Sirona Fuels. Internationally, we are establishing affiliates and partnerships in developing countries that will enable us to directly inject money into those countries' economies, stimulating commerce, and creating an avenue to reinvest profits into those countries' infrastructure.
The cornerstone to our business model is matching stable supplies of feedstock with stable contracts for the sale of our biodiesel. To that end, we target the marketing of our biodiesel to large end-users (state and local governments and businesses with large diesel fleets) under fixed-price, fixed-term contracts. These contracts have the potential to transform the current biodiesel marketplace and usher in a new era of stability and continuously available product. We also contract with large institutions and local businesses to procure their used cooking oil.
